KUALA LUMPUR, February 18, 2025 – The official press conference for the Uganda Business Forum & Expo 2025 was successfully held at St. Giles Boulevard Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The Uganda Business Forum & Expo 2025, scheduled for 23rd – 24th April, 2025 at Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur will be organised by the High Commission of Uganda to Malaysia and the World-One Business Federation.

The two-day forum and expo will feature specialised exhibitions prioritising current and future collaborations with Malaysian businesses and chambers of commerce for mutual growth. The trade expo’s agenda will consist of knowledge sessions, workshops, conferences, CEO roundtables, as well as business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-government (G2G) interactions. The forum and expo has the acknowledgement and support of Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) as its strategic partner.
The press conference attended by distinguished guests, media representatives, and business leaders, served as a key platform to announce and highlight the significance of the upcoming business forum and expo.
The press conference, led by H.E. Dr Betty Oyella Bigombe, High Commissioner of Uganda to Malaysia, outlined the objectives of the forum, emphasizing its role in increasing bilateral trade and investment relations between Uganda and Malaysia. The conference also shed light on Malaysia’s potential as a key trading partner, particularly in key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, minerals, oil and gas, and technology.
The press conference included official remarks from dignitaries, including H.E. Dr. Betty Oyella Bigombe, and Datuk Irwin SW Cheong. A Q&A session was held with media representatives addressing potential business and investor collaborations.
With an estimated trade and investment potential of US$5 billion, the Uganda Business Forum & Expo 2025 is a collaboration set to showcase Uganda’s rich resources while boosting the growth of Malaysian businesses and chambers of commerce.
